Twas the Night Before Jesus Came
What Christian Publishers Say about Gone
The word "rapture" does not appear in scripture. However, there is strong evidence of its major themes throughout the New Testament
| Special
note: Yesterday, May 21, 2011, the rapture was supposed to happen,
according to some "prophets". Since you and I are still here, we assume the rapture
didn't happen yesterday. This whole brouhaha about the rapture happening on a
certain date is a trick of the devil. He wants to minimize the actuality of the
rapture so we'll relax our guard. We don't want to be the butt of every sad joke
about the rapture. Don't be fooled. The rapture is coming; no one knows exactly when: Jesus said, Matthew 24:36 "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. " |
The
rapture is a literal future event:
Acts 1:11: "Men
of Galilee," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same
Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way
you have seen him go into heaven."
The
rapture will occur suddenly and without warning
I
Cor. 15:52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.
The
rapture will divide those who have accepted Jesus Christ as a personal Savior
and those who have not
Luke 17:35: one will be taken
and the other left. "
