Demons at Work
There are two sources of power in the world which are not related to the laws
of nature. The first and most obvious source of such power is God. His power is
completely pure and holy. The second source of supernatural power is Satan. His
power is totally evil. If a happening can't be attributed to the laws of nature,
it is either the supernatural work of God or of Satan. There is no neutral source
of supernatural power.
Satan is committed to using his power to destroy your new status as a baby Christian. Just as a lion roams the jungle looking for baby animals to kill, Satan roams the world and looks for baby Christians. His primary objective is to kill your relationship with God by tempting you to sin. Of course, he is just as interested in destroying mature Christians as well. Baby Christians are his favorite prey because they are the most vulnerable.
The power of Satan is extended by demons without number who help do his evil work. These demons have the power to enter humans and possess them. Once a demon possesses a person, only the power of the Holy Spirit can cast it out against its will.
For
now, this may be all you need to know about demons and demon possession. However,
if you are a mature Christian, there is a resource on the WWW which can give you
additional information. This is a booklet titled
