There is a big difference between 20 years experience and one year of experience times 20. When I started my second year of teaching, I didn't bring out last year's lesson plans and begin to teach the same stuff in the same way. Of course, I looked over last year's material but used it only as a reference. My second year of teaching was enhanced by my first year, but it wasn't a replica of that first year. When I retired in 1994, I looked back on 37 years of progressive experience. No year in that 37 was a replica of any previous year.
